We can make better suggestions if we knew a bit about you--What are your interests? What would you like to do on this trip? What time of year do you plan to travel? Have you dreamed of seeing any particular place in either country?

Hi V2,

It doesn't matter.

Go to one now, the other later.

Happy anniversary.

I love Italy...its beautiful and very very romantic. When we went we stayed in Lake Garda (fair enough it isnt near the beach) but it is stunning. Picture yourselves at the romantic pavement cafes watching the world go by. Day trips to Venice (ride a gondola) Verona you can both have a kiss on Juliet's balcony. You can sunbathe by the lake.
Would definitely recommend there for a romantic holiday. You will be able to trully relax. There is a company I use on facebook I think they are called Latedeals do some really good prices.
Hope you get something x

It doesn't matter. You will enjoy yourself either way.

Flip a coin.

Shouldn't you be making reservations?

PS,

If you have only 7 days, Rome, Florence and Venice will be a rushed itinerary.

You could spend a week in Rome, or a week in F and V.

Have you been to either country before? I've been to Greece once and Italy 3 times. While I really enjoyed Greece, I love Italy.

I'm in the germination stages of an Italian trip for 2013. I'm thinking of combining flying into Milan and staying on Lake Como a few days before flying down to Naples and staying a few days in Positano on the Amalfi Coast with maybe a night or 2 on Capri. This would be a fairly relaxing trip, but I have been to the "big 3" in Italy twice. If you haven't, you may want to do Rome/Venice or Rome/Florence. Personally, I would recommend Rome/Venice.

We had a wonderful trip to Greece (i loved Greek islands!!!) having also a wedding anniversary - exchanged votes in Santorini.
We have booked our greek program with the greek agency travel zone. I have to tell you tha they were very helpful and they suggesting us hotels that we loved.

We visited Athens, Mykonos & Santorini islands. Fabulous...
In Athens we stayed at the Divani Acropolis Palace hotel in Acropolis area, walking distance from all sites.
In Mykonos we stayed at the K Group hotel which is located in the center of Mykonos. We wanted to stay in the center of Mykonos town in order to enjoy nightlife!!!! Amazing nightlife in Mykonos i have to say. Till morning people having fun.
And at the end... in this magical island....Santorini. We stayed at the Andronis Boutique hotel in Oia. Excellent -new built- hotel, unique & minimal design. I am in love with this hotel, the people, the service, the famous greek hospitality were very very nice to us. All these with unbelievable caldera view.
We have a wedding anniversary ceremony in the terrace of the hotel Andronis with the precious help of Manto the wedding planner of the Santorini Weddings company . Everything went excellent, more than our expectations...

I recommend highly choose Santorini for your special day... You won't regret it believe me!!!

Wishing you the best for you life!
