Aktas sitesi is the name of a group of independent buildings.

The address is for Block M, flat 13.

the district is "Levazim"

It is part of the "Besiktas Municipality"

here's the map and location :

http://www.besiktas.bel.tr/t/15/sub.jsp?p=9179

The closest hotel will be Princess hotel at Ortakoy, and then Radisson Blu within walking distance although up a hill.

This location is between Ulus and Ortakoy, I am guessing that it is somewhere not far from the TRT2 TV studios on the opposite side.

Point hotel, Balmumcu and Plaza hotel and Dedeman, yildiz posta Caddesi (avenue) will also be a short taxi ride away.

Stu, you're in arrears. Have not received wages for last three years.

Thanks for reminding me and informing me that you are the crook who has been holding them back. No more freebies from now on. Any question coming from you and the answer will have a 50% probability of being misleading. Adu, on the other hand, may yet save himself.

Having a bit of trouble finding a hotel nearby during my dates....some sold out; others have mediocre reviews....some more than $1,000 a night (Four Seasons)....was eyeing a room at the Tomtom Suites in the Galata and Pera District...how difficult/time consuming would it to be to travel from that area to the address?

...Sorry, I just do not have any feel for Istanbul's layout & transportation challenges...expertise much appreciated!

Tomtom suites is not in a very good area and has access issues.

Try hotels around Taksim, Cihangir or Nisantas. The new Opera Hotel seems to have bad service but good reviews. It has excellent access to most points.

A colleague (insurance related) owns Pera Suites which has excellent studio suites but reviews say they can be noisy because of a city ordinance which requires a hole in the window pane because they utilize gas for the kitchen range in the room. Otherwise location and price are very good.

Villa Zurich at Cihangir has a good location also, but small rooms.

rattravelers:

Visit pleasant Ortakoy on a Sunday afternoon...it's one big massive , colorful street fair (in the park bordering the Boshporus).
Try the best stuffed pottatoes ever, which still sticks out in my memory.

Thank you for the suggestion of the Sunday market....is there anything else in that area that we might be able to walk to? Daughter has just arrived there now...on day 3 of 3 months....so far, she has not explored much but is looking forward to the street fair hopefully this Sunday!
