Bryce canyon NP lodge OR Ruby's inn

Hi,

We are reaching at bryce around 12 noon, and leaving next day around 12 noon - so we'll be there for 1 night only. (that's the Saturday night)
Now, I was able to get reservation at Bryce Canyon Lodge - as well as at - Ruby's Inn. Which is better? (I know its tough choice) How far Ruby's inn from the rim? Does stay in Canyon lodge is worth $50 extra?

I've stayed at a cabin in Bryce and it's better to be in the park imo.
Make sure you're in the park to see sunset and again before sunrise!

The lodge room wasn't all that nice but the location was perfect, we could just walk to the rim straight from the room.

Ruby's is OK.

"How far Ruby's inn from the rim?"

Not far (couple of miles?) but you'll want to drive.

"Does stay in Canyon lodge is worth $50 extra?"

For most people "yes". The only times I've stayed at Ruby's were when the lodge was closed for the season (I think it closes end of Oct, something like that).

We really liked the lodge. We did have one meal at Rubys, and it wasn't much.
