British Airways Seat Assignment

Hello fellow-Fodorites.
Traveling SFO to Heathrow on a 744; not a seasoned traveler; what's the best seat for legroom, quiet, etc. I assume an aisle so I can get up and stretch.
Thank you.

I assume economy?

Note that unless you're an elite member of BA's (or another Oneworld partner's) frequent flyer program, you'll have to pay extra to select seats prior to 24 hours pre-flight.

Gardyloo, yes economy and am willing to pay extra. just wondering where the best location would be; i.e., not near the galley or loos ;-)
Thank you.

Check seat guru as posted above, gives you all the info needed for each specific plane type and shows toilets etc.

Stay away from the toilets and the rear galley: traffic all night long.

Thank you all. I see that BA calls economy seats, World Traveler.

In economy if you are a frequent restroom break kind of person, I would choose an aisle seat. If you don't mind climbing over a stranger, I would say the window is better. I love seatguru too.
