4 days in London - Need help on grouping sites to see

4 days in London - Need help on grouping sites to see
I will be traveling in London for 4 full days in May. Here is the list of things that I would like to see and I am wondering how to group them best so that I can see them all.
Imperial War Museum, Tower of London, British Museum, British Library, Victoria And Albert, Chelsea FC Stadium Tour, National Gallery.
If Time: Tate Modern, Shopping near Bond Street.
Thanks for your help! By the way we are staying at the Astor Hyde Park hostel if that helps for planning things.

That hostel is in a very nice location.
For your groupings -look at something like this:
• One day Tower of London & Tate Modern. Do the Tower first and get there at opening time. Time to do something else - like the Eye.
• One day British Museum & British Library (shopping after)
• The V&A is not far from your hostel so you could do it in the morning and then anything you want in the afternoon. That could be Stamford Bridge (I don't know the tour times but it is easy to reach from the V&A by tube)
• One day Imperial War Museum & National Gallery + shopping
Each of these days is easy and not over filled so you won't be frazzled, and could even add a few sites.

while alanRow is right about the tube connections, for me personally trying to 'do' the V&A and British museums on the same day would have my head spinning.

You are wise to be grouping by locale and to have not too much to try to pack into each day.
I agree that the BL and the BM will be plenty of museum-ing for one day! Three times I, and various combinations of family/students, have started our day out as early as the Library opened, spent time there (75-90ish minutes), then walked to the BM for the rest of the day, or at least until late afternoon. And I still feel like, after 4 trips, I've seen maybe 10% of the BM, so I wouldn't add anything else to this day before dinner. And the logic for going to the Library first is that it will take you so much less time than the Museum, so stay as long as you want at the Library and then spend the rest of the day, til feet, eyes, or time give out, in the BM.
We combined Westminster Abbey in the morning with a walk across the Bridge and then the afternoon in the Imperial War Museum. That worked well.
All the things you mentioned except the Tower are free, but if you can manage the budget for other fee-requiring sites, I would recommend either Westminster Abbey or St. Paul's, or both.
Be sure you plan time for photos at Trafalgar Square, a peek in at least one royal park, a look at the Thames from a bridge or two, and a walk along the SouthBank if time! All free! A walk somewhere would be good on arrival day if you have time.
