Santorini- Archeological Site of Akrotiri reopens

Good news after a long time of anticipation... nearly 7 years.

The Archeological site of Akrotiri, in Santorini will open it's gates again, during next week.
After several years of works, the Greek Ministry of Culture will sign the final agreement on Sunday, which will allow the opening of Akrotiri again, with a new bioclimatic roof.

I am sure this will make many visitors of Santorini very happy !!

I've put off a trip to Santorini for years, waiting for Akrotiri to reopen. Finally I gave up. Now it will reopen just in time for our trip this May. Yay!!

So is there a link to a website with the opening hours?

According to Greek Media Akrotiri is open as of today, 11/4.
Opening hours will be from 10:00 - 17:00 hrs. ( which can change to the better in the summer)
There is no website at the moment with published opening hours.

Here is the official website of the Greek Ministry of Culture and Tourism , that includes all archeological sites, museums and monuments of Greece :

http://odysseus.culture.gr/h/3/gh30.jsp

Akrotiri is not updated yet, and shows as closed due to works....
