Hello all. It will be my fourth trip back to greece to go veg on the beach and dance the night away (im in grad school, can u blame me?) I am going with my best girlfriends this trip, we are from the US and part of our trip will be 4 nights in santorini and 3 in mykonos. ive been to both of these places multiple times, so i know what to expect in each town on the islands, but i want to see what other people think would be a good spot for 4 girls, aged 24, who are going to mainly beach, eat good food, and drink good drink. on santorini would u recommend perissa, kamari, or Fira, or another? And in mykonos, would u recommend somewhere on the beach or in mykonos town? thanks for the input

also-if you know of an affordable, great little place to stay in either place, please let me know. thanks!

I love Santorini!! My fiance and I go back every year. We always stay at Smaragdi in Perissa. It is the best. The owners treat you like family and it is literally a minute walk from Perissa beach. I would stay away from kamari - the planes over head are annoying.

If you have been already couple of times to both islands, than you probably already know that the best place to stay

1. in Santorini is Perissa.

The beach is the best you can find on the island, there is cheap accommodation and you can always get to Fira by bus for the nightlife, given the fact that the best clubs and bars are there.
Second option would be to stay in Fira ( there are many low cost hotels or rooms there) and take the bus to the beach.

2. in Mykonos is Mykonos Town

When i was in the party age, i always stayed in the town, so i was very near to all the nightlife places..
There's nothing worse than waiting for a taxi at night in Mykonos, as you probably you will already know....
I took the bus to Platy Gialos and the beaches every day, so i could visit a different beach every day, even though my favourite one is Paranga.....

Thank you thank you...That is what i figured, in terms of staying in Perissa and Mykonos town. last time we were in santorini we stayed in perissa and i had considered staying in Fira this time, but i decided to stick with Perissa and books Amelie. And in Mykonos we stayed at the beach last time and i didnt really want to do that again. We booked Alkyon in Mykonos town. looking forward to it. Thanks for the help
