•Places to stay in Manarola and Riomaggiore

My husband and I are planning to stay in Cinque Terre for 2 nights May 15-17. I am looking for recommendations on where to stay in either Manarola or Riomaggiore. Any suggestions? Any help would be appreciated.

I'm one of several Fodorites who loved La Torretta in Manarola.

Add another to Manarola - La Torretta or Albergo Marina Piccola.

I've also stayed in Riomaggiore in an apartment for a week, but preferred Manarola. The trail between the two, via della Amore, is a very civilised walk too (there's a bar in the middle!) so you can easily stroll between the two. Good selection of restaurants in Riomaggiore, but also a few to choose from in Manarola too.

<<via della Amore>> ** that would be via dell'Amore. Same place, better spelling

We stayed here in Manarola and loved it. It is not a true hotel, there is no desk or hotel staff on site so its more like renting 1 of I think 4 rooms and then you all share a huge deck overlooking the sea. We had it to ourselves most of the time even though there were 3 other rooms rented. Would highly recommend it!

We stayed at Casa Cappellini in Manarola, it's a steep uphill walk from the train station but all the villages are built into the cliffs. Room was basic but the view was fabulous.

I heard about Edi's Rooms in Riomaggiore when we were there, you could do a search.
