Any risk to purchasing a round trip flight for only one leg within Europe?
I am having a heck of a time finding an itinerary and fare that fits our needs to get from Prague to Florence this summer. We're just going to suck it up and spend way too much to avoid having to fly to Rome or Milan, get to the train station, take the Eurostar, etc. The round trip tickets are obviously much more reasonable than a one way if we're restricting ourselves to only flying into Florence ultimately. Has anyone had issues with using the first leg of the round trip and not the second half?

Did it Madrid to Paris on Iberia a few years ago with no problem..
Techinically, they can charge you if you don't show up for the second flight and change you to a one way fare for your original flight...
That said, in all my years of flying and reading message boards I have never heard of anyone who got charged for this on the "first" time. There have been some people who did it week in and week out who finally got busted!

Try http://flyairone.com/EN-EU/default.aspx to Pisa - it's the low cost arm of Alitalia. You can take a train to Florence from the airport

Thank you alanRow, I actually came across that site but unfortunately they only fly on Saturdays to Pisa it seems and of course, we need to fly on a Sunday. :/ It would have worked perfectly if not for that! I appreciate it.

abram we're going to have to check luggage...traveling with a toddler and all that. but if we book with lufthansa, we're each allowed a checked bag and we can gate check the stroller at least.
