Hello!

Heading to Vegas in May for a bachlorette party; there will be 8 of us going. Looking for a nice restaurant for one of the nights we're there. Budget would be mid-range, thinking $18-30 for entrees/mains (not per meal). Open to any type of food. Atmosphere should be fun but still classy (no we don't want to eat sushi off a naked man's body, although 2am suggestions can be sent privately haha. I kid). We're staying at The Cosmopolitan, so anywhere near by or quick cab ride would be convenient.

Haven't been to Vegas since I was 9 years old, so I don't think the ladies would enjoy going to Circus Circus or Treasure Island

Mon Ami Gabi, across the street from your hotel at Paris, is always fun. And Canaletto in the Venetian hotel will give you a private balcony table overlooking the canal if you have 8 persons in your party.

STK at the Cosmopolitan has some really great food but its more on the $30+/entree place..The buffet Wicked Spoon is yummy too! classy for a buffet. that's if you don't want to have to take a cab anywhere. Cosmo is in City Center so its close to a lot of restaurants at Crystals like Besos (Eva Longoria's restaurant). btw, if you need a day activity for your party, try shooting some machine guns at Machine Guns Vegas. they give free transportation and instruction.

@Eami - I brought that up to them, sadly they are not interested in that (I've been to a few, including one in Budapest, so much fun!)

Mid range budget: Margaritaville -- decent food, loud music, good-not-great margaritas, entertaining (stilt folks, volcano erupting) -- saw numerous party groups (birthday, etc.) when we were there 2 weeks ago.

Mon Ami Gabi -- went there several times for breakfast. Excellent! Great location means prices are higher.

I would recommend Johnny Smalls at the Hard Rock which isn't to far from the Cosmo. Great atmosphere, delicious food and the Hard Rock is always fun.They do small plates and sushi, not tapas. Its more eclectic than that. Something for everyone, so it makes it a great choice for a large group and you can do an all the small plates you want for $19.95. What you save on food you can spend on their awesome specialty drinks. You can read more about it on lasvegasbylocals.com.

You choices are many - so I would at least start with either what type of food you like the most - or after having googled away - what type of setting you narrow it down to. Wynn and the adjacent Encore have a number of fun places, as does the Venetian and the Palazzo (overlooking the gondola rides at the Italian place by the canal in the Venetian just came to mind) - plus Caesar's has a lot of choices - and across the street from the Cosmo at the Planet Hollywood there are some fun places.

But, if you get a good table with view of the Bellagio Fountains - Mon Ami Gabi across the street at Paris is hard to beat - and for an appertif or post dinner treat - they also used to have a nice piano bar in the hallway toward the buffet.

Oh yes, somebody mentioned Canaletto overlooking the canal in the Venetian. You could probably con one of the Gondola drivers into singing you a special song.
