Are there train sleeper cars from Venice to naples?

Traveling from Venice to naples...(on to positano eventually). Trying to find out if there are sleeper trains that travel this route so we don't have to sit on a long train ride during the day. Any help would be appreciated

I'm bumping this thread as my kids and are also traveling from Venice to Naples and are considering an overnight train.

I couldn't find the overnight train in the trenitalia website.

Are you looking beyond the 90 day booking horizon?

Not without changing trains mid-way.

"Not without changing trains mid-way."

That's what I thought, we have to change trains in Rome or Milan. At least we save one night in hotel while we travel South.

It appears the only sleeping accommodations on the ICN from Venice is 4 person couchettes. Are there four of you? If not, you might be sharing.

It doesn't make much sense to take a 2 1/2 hour ride to Milan to catch a different train. I can't imagine it would save a hotel night with the extra cost, not to mention the waste of time. You would have more compartment choices from Milan, but that increases the price.

You might check for budget flights from Venice to Naples.

You can fly for about $72. Look on Kayak.

We are 3 by now, my middle son still on the fence again...
I'm still debating on flying paying extra night in Sorrento, v/s overnight train for all of us, no hotel.

Kybourbon,
Where do you see the prices for couchettes? I can't find that link.

On Trenitalia. When you select the ICN train, it's in the drop down box for seat description. Regular base price is 110.60€ per person. It would not be worth it to me as the sleeper train part is under 7 hours travel time. You really won't manage much sleep.
