I'm traveling to Paris, Germany, and Salzburg in June with 4 adults (including two grandparents in their 60's) and two children.
We need a room for 2 adults and 2 children and then a 2nd room for only 2 adults.
I welcome anyones suggestions on where to stay in Munich that offers a quadruple and is convenient to the train station. Munich is the last city on our trip, so we will need to get to the airport from there, too. Thanks!

A friend of mine stayed with his family (2 adults and 2 kids) at the Holiday Inn Munich City Centre, Hochstrasse 3, last summer.

It is very close to the Deutsches Museum, connected via underground walkway to the Ostbahnhof and a 10 minute walk to the Marienplatz.

We used our SPG points and stayed at the Le Meridien right across from the Hbf. Convenient location.

We have had family stay at Hotel Uhland, which is, I think, one U-bahn stop from the Hbf.

I haven't stayed there yet but have a reservation at Taferner's B&B in Erding, which is close to the airport. It's not that convenient by train to the airport but quick and easy by taxi. They have some family rooms that would work for the adults and children as well as a regular double.

Depending on how long you will be in Munich you might want to look at vacation rentals or Ferienwohnung as they are called in German. These are apartments and homes usually rented out by individual owners. Many (but not all) seem to want a minimum of at least three nights rental and you need to ensure they include linen and towels (everyone that we have rented did include, but I have seen some that do not or charge an additional fee). In return you usually get a nice place to stay, with a fully functional and stocked kitchen for significantly less than you would pay at a hotel for the same amount of beds.
