Irish Christmas Decorations/Ornaments

Hi Everyone; I have decided to decorate my Christmas tree this year with all Irish themed ornaments, does anyone know of a store in Ireland that will ship glass ball ornaments to the U.S.? I have found some things on line but it cost like $25 for just 4 ball shaped ornaments (no including shipping). Should I look up a Dunnes store and see if they would ship? If I can't get or afford too many Irish style ornaments, I am planning on doing all ball shaped ornaments in green and white colors; got the green ones now looking for white.

Decorating like this since we couldn't go back for another visit this year, hopefully in a couple of years we will have the joy or revisiting Ireland again.

May all of the wonderful Irish people have a blessed holiday season.

Stores that only sell christmas ornaments always have a Irish section.Do you have a irish gift shop in your area they will have them also.

Thanks Susan for the help. Unfortunately I don't have an Irish gift shop near by, hence my having to order on line. This site does have a couple of ornaments I haven't seen yet; LOVE those Wacky Woolies. Becky

The store is in Maine. It's where I buy haggis

The "Gifts & Other Goods" section has Christmas ornaments. Not too many Irish-themed, but a few are there.

I think that you will find that real glass ornaments of any quality will always be very expensive - more so id coming from Ireland due to the pitiful state of the dollar as well as international shipping.

Don't know if this matters to you, but the online ornamnents at Carrolls or other websites may not be made in Ireland. We bought Christmas ornaments in Ireland that were made in China.

Cute idea about the tree. I may have to steal it!

QVC sells Belleek ornaments and look on ebay! I have lots of Waterford but will not buy any that is not made in Ireland anymore, so sad so would also look for Galway Crystal and Tipperary, they usually have ornaments. Ihave lots of Irish Santas.

Thanks egnolive and flpab for the ideas and interest, I had not thought of Tipperary. I do have a snowflake ornament from Dingle Crystal and can't wait to put it on my tree. Egnolive, we may just have to start an Irish Christmas Tree club!
Keep the suggestions coming.

lovs2travel; Appreciate your letting me know about that site, I am checking it out.

If you don't have a local Irish gift shop you can try Cashs of Ireland. www.cashs.com
They have a selection of ornaments and have a US warehouse and the products are shipped within days. Good Luck with your tree
