Booking the Venetian

Hi

We have set our minds on staying at the Venetian (we both looked independently and without collaborating decided it was where we wanted to stay for our wedding). We are getting married at the Chapel of the Flowers which looks lovely.

Anyway, back to the subject at hand. We arrive in LV on 3/12 and there are rooms available, but I've heard they do lots of specials for the colder months. We are staying in LV of 4 nights. (seeing Blue Man, Le Reve, & Love (after the wedding )

My question therefore is do you think there is a lot to gain by waiting? We don't want to risk not getting in, but if the rates habitually drop dramatically perhaps we should wait.

We can get a package deal with Blue Man Group tickets which seems really great, and fits with all the other things we have organised. I'm ready to book, just would like to not be jumping the gun.

Looking forward to feedback, and thank you again in advance.

Lissa

Room rates go up when there are big conventions (or multiple smaller conventions) in town, go down when they have a lot of empty rooms.

I assume you are on the Venetian's mailing list so you get to see the specials in advance, right? Seems like $99 (rarely) in the worst of the summer, maybe $129 about half the time, up to $199 in the busier times are the rates I remember for their basic specials (I'm on their list). So if you see a rate that looks good, since you are locked in to specific dates, go for it.

Off topic, but I recommend having breakfast at least once at Bouchon while you are there. Even when we stay at other near-by hotels like Wynn or Caesars we always walk over to the Venetian for a Bouchon breakfast ...

Here are the promo codes from Smarter Vegas:

From you previous posts: you are there in December, not March, right?

Congrats on your upcoming marriage. My parents got married in LV in 1950, so it must be a good luck place

most reservations can be cancelled. No harm in reserving now and continuing to look for better deals if your reservation can be cancelled.
