Love St Croix but am interested in Grand Cayman for 4nights in Sept

My husband and I have been to lots of islands and Love St.Croix due to the lack of tourists and love that we can rent a car and drive around and find secluded beaches all over. We would really like to try something different but still want to be where we can roam around and not be confined to the tourist traps. We love the smooth powdery beaches for swimming and snorkeling so that's why we were thinking GC. Any ideas? Am looking at Caribbean Club penthouse
Thanks

We love to be able to walk out onto the beach (& snorkel)right from our condo, and on Grand Cayman, we found Aqua Bay Condos let us do just that. We walked to Cemetery Reef, best snorkeling on the island. Balcony was on the west side so sunsets and happy hour were perfect. We did take out many nights so as not to miss the sunset! What about St. Croix? Where did you stay?

Seven Mile Seven Mile beach is great for walking and snorkeling. During the low season you can get great rates. You will also feel like you have the beach to yourself. The Caribbean Club is a good choice and many of the condos in the central and north part of Seven Mile Beach are also good choices. During the high season, I like to stay in the north part of Seven Mile beach because it is quieter.

Just returned from GC - third time there. We stayed at the Villas of the Galleon. The beach is wonderful and the snorkeling is great right off the beach. It's very quiet this time of year. Enjoy!
