Car rental - Pick up in France & drop off in Italy
Hi, I need to rent a car in France and drop it off in Italy after 2 weeks. Can anyone recommend which company would be cheapest to do this. I don't think autoeurope allow drop off in different countries.
Has anyone done this before? Thanks

Yes, AutoEurope will let you do that - for about $500 or more. Same with any other rental company.
Plus, the insurance requirements are more stringent in Italy, so you'd be paying more for the Italian part of the rental.
I think it's best to figure out a way to avoid doing this, like two separate rentals.

Two separate rentals is definitely cheaper e.g. we once rented a car for France dropped off Nice then took train to Genoa and rented for Italy. Much cheaper, but it all depends on the areas you are travelling and if you can get public transport between the towns. Sometimes paying the hefty surcharge may be worth it.
