Wishing Spidey the best on the opening tonight!

I have a feeling that Bono got it right during the retooling.

Let's hope so.

I don;t think it was the music that needed retooling.

No, the entire show needed retooling.

The Times didn't think he got right, though critic Ben Brantley wasn't as damning this time. Instead of calling it "a mess" as he did the last time, he term the show "a bore" in his review tonight.

NY1 News called it a "mish mash" but said it is spectacular with a couple of memorable songs.

But did you see the number from the show on the Tony Awards? No matter how exciting the overall show might be, you'll still have to sit through that boring dirge meant to be a love song. If that number was meant to sell tickets, I think they failed miserably.

I have to agree with Neo on that one. When I heard the song, I said if that's the best they have to offer, I have no interest in the show.

I also agree with Neo, the song was a snoozer.

We saw the original show and enjoyed it for the sheer spectacle of it. We sat in the balcony (safe area) and it was great fun looking down on the flying scenes particularly when Spiderman landed on the edge of the balcony a couple of rows from our seats and exited out the rear of the balcony.

The music was forgettable not sure if it has been improved much.

I think the critics were unreasonably harsh in their original reviews. Everything can't be Shakespeare.
