Place for a nice lunch in Niagara Falls or Niagara on the Lake on a Sunday?
My husband's cousins in Brampton want to see my in-laws who will be visiting from Scotland. I mentioned going to Niagara Falls for the day (we live east of Cleveland). Please tell me a nice place we could meet up for a big lunch on a Sunday either at the falls or Niagara on the Lake or a winery? Husband I and I go every year but I can't really think of any place we've been that would be suitable for this. Thanks

How about someplace overlooking the Falls - Skylon Tower revolving dining room, Elements on the Falls at the brink of the Falls, Keg Steakhouse at Embassy Suites, Canyon Creek Chophouse at Fallsview Casino.

Thank you for your help, but no to the Skylon Tower, we've done that before. The Keg, I've read too many mixed reviews about. Is Canyon Creek outrageously expensive? And not sure about Elements, is that the one on ground level at the falls?
Maybe I'm looking more for a winery or Niagara on the Lake...

The food and setting at Ravine Winery would be nice. The house/winery is full of local history and we have eaten at the restaurant and the food was delicious. It is a very nice setting.
Second suggestion would be Strewn Winery. A little more pricey but nice too.

Irecommand - Ravine looks very nice. Haven't looked up where it's at yet. I've been to Strewn before but not to eat.
Also liking the look of Canyon Creek Chophouse, I like that they have lunch prices

amelie... the restaurant at Ravine is good, but favors sandwiches and pizzas with a crowded kitchen table style...
If you want an Amazing lunch on the vineyards, Hillebrand Winery features local products with upscale prep... they may also have a Brunch... call for a reservation... they also have outside tables... by far the best choice...

Thanks garyt22. I did look at Hillebrand's website earlier and it's only the 40 something dollar brunch on Sundays. I don't want them to get mad at me if they think 48 is too much.
Did not get that impression from Ravines online lunch menu, but crowded tables might not be good?
Would love to sit outside if it a nice 72 degree blue sky day like today, but July could be hot and humid so that isn't a priority.
If I get the job I I interviewed for today the plans may be altered to a different day, or an overnight stay,

The Cannery is in the Pillar and Post and has an excellent lunch however its inside and lacks any view... part of the appeal is sharing the view with your guests... I would still recommend Hillebrand for Friday....
But there is also a less pricey choice at the Old Winery Restaurant... indoor and patio seating with great food but a bit more casual... www.theoldwinery.com

"O at Ravine" was run originally by Anna Olson, a celebrity chef from the Food Network in Canada... once they built a very solid reputation, the owner of the Ravine Vinyard replaced the Olsons with his Son, who had just graduated from culinary school in Toronto...
