Where to Stay in Manitou Springs, Colorado?

We need a room for the night of June 24, 2011.

The Cliff House is completely booked.

The Best Western Skyway and the Comfort Inn get good reviews on TripAdvisor, but they don't look very appealing on Google Map street views.

My traveling companion doesn't like B&Bs.

Help, HTTY

We stayed one night at the Best Western last year. it was pretty basic, o.k. but nothing special and the immediate neighborhood is not charming. We walked into the main part of down for dinner--not too far.

Thanks for these suggestions. I made a reservation the Homewood Suites north of Colorado Springs which I can cancel up until 6:00 p.m. on the 24th. We'll check out the motels in Manitou Springs on our way to Pike's Peak and Cripple Creek to see if there is something available that night that appeals to us.

you will definitely want to eat at Adams Mountain Cafe for one of your meals. They serve B, L, and D.

We recently stayed at the Blue Skies Inn and thought it was fantastic! http://www.blueskiesinn.com/

The owners are awesome, the room unique and fantastic, and the breakfast left outside your front door in a picnic basket fantastic! Not to mention the amazing gardens!!!

It's about a 10-15 minute walk into town, but you can walk along the creek path for most of the way.
