You're a short flight away from Bali, and you could have an incredibly luxurious honeymoon at the various Aman Resorts in Bali and Java... and be well within your budget!

Stay on the beach at Amankila in East Bali.

Spend some time near Ubud at Amanusa.

Visit Java and stay at Amanjiwo.

And/or have a luxury tented camp adventure at Amanwana.

Additional amenities at no extra cost by using a Virtuoso travel consultant - just Google those search terms to locate one.

Let's start with you: $30k & a month is such a broad brush that it's hard to focus on something that might be special for you & your wife.

Are you looking for Southern Hemisphere warmth or the crisp/cold days of the Northern?

What places/areas are on your wish list that you haven't visited? Asia/Africa/Middle East/the Americas, North & South or our own region?

What are your interests? Big city excitement or exploring the byways & villages?

Would you like to incorporate some activities - sailing/skiing/walking/whitewater rafting/ballooning .....

Give us a few hints and you'll get lots of good suggestions.

I think the first thing you need is a guide.
And I could offer to do this.
You give me your $30000 and i will willingly take care of booking all your 5 star hotels and 5 star dinners and travel arrangements........
And if you have this much money to spend I can only say a fool and his money will soon be parted if you seriously are going to spend that much on 30 days and dont have a clue about how to do it.

Just a thought for those perhaps unfamiliar with airfares from Australia. Business Class return to LHR in December is currently listed between $6204 and $10,255. Each. Not too hard to burn a hole in $30k if a couple wanted a bit of luxury on a 20+ hour trip, which they very well may like on their honeymoon.

Add in some decent accommodation, sightseeing, dining, shopping etc., for a month, particularly around Christmas, when many places have holiday pricing ....

The OP has a thread going on the Europe board, and has gotten a lot of suggestions there. Sounds like he is thinking of other options besides Europe as well.

If you're from Perth and as it's your honeymoon, travel business class, it can cost you $15,000 so there is only 15K left and if you stay at 5 star hotels the rest of the money can be snapped up in a jiffy!

I mean if you're travelling to Europe or USA it can cost $15K for two. It is so easy to spend the 30K for a month.
