I remember my father dining there often when I was a child and I wondered what had happened to Keen's. Thanks for the link! We'll have to try it as we much prefer lamb chops( my father did call them mutton chops) to steak.

We ate there a couple of years back before attending a performance at a small theater nearby. We had originally balked at going because of the gargantuan size of the lamb chop -- it could easily feed a small village in South East Asia. The solution, we learned, was to dine in the pub section (actually, it is between the bar and dining room, where a half lamb chop is available. This is still two or three times what your doctor would recommend, but absolutely delicious, rich and tangy, and with that voluptuous sidelock on one end.

The only downside side is that they do not take reservations in the pub, which make things difficult if there is an event at the Garden. We had no difficulty our night, though.
