Arguably, Piedmont Park is one of the most overlooked attractions in Atlanta. The 186-acre park is a welcome green space among Atlanta's cement and skyscrapers, and is home to an aquatic center and pool, lake, walking and running trails, tennis courts, playgrounds, sports fields, a dog park, and a Green Market for fresh local food, handmade goodies, chef demonstrations, live music. While there, you may notice some similarities to another famous city park, that's because the park was designed by the Olmsted Brothers, sons of the famed landscape architect who designed New York’s Central Park.
