A time-tested beacon of old-school Caracas, this venerable pyramid-shape hotel sits on a bluff above the Las Mercedes neighborhood in the southeastern section of the city. It's the oldest of the city's luxury hotels and still well maintained after all these years. Its most stunning facility, a free-form pool, loops around any which way but rectangularly. You can take a dip after working out at the gym or following a few games of tennis. The bar, El Punto, is a gathering place of choice for the city's elite and influential. For children, there is a playground, a small pool and tennis lessons upon request. Rooms are spacious and comfortable.
