Las Cumbres Hotel-Art & Spa Review
One of the area's newest lodgings is perhaps its most un-Punta-like. You're nowhere near the beach as you climb a 160-meter (520-foot) hill north of Punta Ballena out near the airport. The difference in elevation translates into temperatures a couple of degrees cooler, as well as a great views and a wooded, get-away-from-it-all locale. The rambling ranch building appears to have been transplanted from the U.S. West. Modern art festoons guest rooms and public areas. All rooms have flat-screen TVs; some have fireplaces.
