Museo del Carnaval

Museo del Carnaval Review

Move over Rio. Montevideo's annual Carnaval celebration may be more low-key than that of its northern neighbor, but it lasts for a full 40 days. This museum honoring the celebration sits next to the Mercado del Puerto and displays the elaborate costumes and photos of the processions that make up pre-Lenten carnival here. A guided tour is included in your admission price.
