Bodega Ocucaje
Bodega Ocucaje Review
About 40 km (27 mi) southeast of Huacachina is Bodega Ocucaje, a famous winery in an old Spanish mansion, whose vintages—including the famous Vino Fond de Cave—are considered among Peru's best. Because of the isolation, the bodega gets few visitors, so be sure to call ahead. Also on the property is the Ocucaje Sun & Wine Resort. Heavily damaged in the 2007 earthquake, it's reopened but has yet to live up to its former reputation.
