Flights to anywhere in southern Peru take between 30 minutes and an hour, and a one-way ticket costs US$90 to US$190. LATAM (www.latam.com ) has daily flights between Lima and Rodríguez Ballón International Airport, 7 km (4½ miles) from Arequipa. Peruvian Airlines (www.peruvianairlines.com.pe) and Avianca (www.avianca.com) also have daily flights. LATAM and Avianca offer daily flights to Aeropuerto Manco Cápac in Juliaca, the closest airport to Puno and Lake Titicaca. It takes 45 minutes to drive from Juliaca to downtown Puno.
