Hotel Libertador Review

Amid sprawling gardens, this 1940 Spanish-colonial villa is an oasis in Old Arequipa. The grand hotel in a leafy suburb outside of the town center had long been Arequipa's best property until the Casa Andina Private Collection sprung up. Sillar arches, wrought-iron window screens, and Peruvian details give this luxury hotel the intimate feel of an old family home. Have breakfast on the terrace, then dip in the pool overlooking Volcán Misti and the Andean panorama. Nonguests can stop in the pub-style bar or splurge on the continental delights at Restaurant Los Robles. In 2010 the hotel undertook a light renovation that updated much of the decor and bedroom amenities.
