This laid-back beach destination, famous for its sunshine and white-sand beaches has excellent waves for surfing, fishing, and diving. Although the relaxed but dusty town has tourist offices, restaurants, and small shops, the real draw are the hotels about 2 km (1¼ mi) south along Las Pocitas, a lovely beach with rocky outcrops that hold tiny pools of seawater at low tide.
