Drinking the Aguardientes

Homemade aguardientes (homemade liqueurs) are common throughout the region. They're made in sundry flavors, including mora (blackberry), maracuyá (passion fruit), café (coffee), and leche (milk). Unfortunately, there's no place that offers tourists a sample, so if you want to try one of these strong, home-brewed liqueurs, you'll have to convince a Peruvian to take you home and share his private collection.
