Less than three blocks from the Plaza de Armas, this hotel puts you right in the middle of things. All the downtown sights are a short walk away. The best part is that you don't have to pay much for this prime spot. Rooms are quite comfortable, and the locally made textiles make each a little different. Although rooms facing the street are sunnier, ask for an inside room if traffic noise bothers you. The improbably named café, Mr. Koala, specializes in Italian fare. Pros: Very close to the main square, near plenty of dining options. Cons: A bit sterile, neighborhood is not the best at night.
