Museo de la Nación
Museo de la Nación Review
If you know little about the history of Peru, a visit to this museum may leave you overwhelmed. The number of cultures tracked over the centuries makes it easy to confuse the Chimú, the Chincha, and the Chachapoyas. The museum is more manageable if you have a specific interest—for example, if you're planning a trip north to Chiclayo and want to learn more about the Moche people. The museum occupies several floors of the massive Ministry of Culture. At this writing the museum is under renovation, so some exhibits may be closed.
