Fodor's Review:

A century-old house behind an iron gate has one of the most atmospheric restaurants in Barranco. The tables scattered around the front porch are so inviting that you might not get farther than the front door. Inside is a warmly lit dining room bustling with women in colorful headwraps serving up tasty Peruvian fare. The ají de gallina, a spicy stewed hen, is the best you'll find anywhere. If you're brave, sample the anticuchos, skewers of beef hearts. At night the place bursts to life with music and dancing from the coastal regions.

Disaster

We called ahead and made reservations so we could see the show and have dinner. We verified that there would be a show, but there wasn't. When we arrived we were told there weren't the minimum number of guests for the show yet, but more would probably arrive, they didn't. We decided to stay anyway, because the food was good and it was late. The food was dry and overcooked (seco de res and duck) and the wine was overpriced.
