Fodor's Expert Review Tanta
Overlooking a quiet plaza behind the Municipalidad, this chic Peruvian-Italian fusion restaurant is a pleasant spot for a break from sightseeing. The menu, which is the work of chef Gastón Acurio, offers an excellent mix of light fare such as a plate of causushis (cold mashed-potato appetizers with varied fillings), and more hearty dishes such as fettuccine in a huancaina (yellow pepper–cheese) sauce with a sirloin scaloppine topped with mushrooms. There are also branches near San Isidro's Parque El Olivar, at Pancho Fierro 115, and in the Larcomar shopping center in Miraflores, with an ocean view.
