Fodor's Review

Though it's just a half block north of Barranco's Parque Nacional, it's easy to miss this tiny, historic café filled with marble-topped tables and older locals, who are drawn by the reasonable prices and traditional dishes such as carapulcra (stewed meat chunks with cubed potatoes), and pescado a la chorrillana (fish filet in a tomato, onion and hot pepper broth). The traditional Limeño desserts, such as manjar de lucuma, a pudding made from a native fruit, or mazamorra morada, a pudding with prunes and blue corn juice, are probably the best reason to stop by.
