Budget-watching travelers appreciate this modern B&B's sleek rooms, convenient location, and reasonable rates. Guest rooms are simple but functional, with wooden floors, small tile baths, and cable TV. Most rooms on the ground floor overlook tiny atriums, but those on the second floor are brighter. Rooms surround a spcious lounge decorated with paintings by local artists where breakfast is served and a computer is available for guest use. It's located on one of Barranco's
quieter streets, a short walk from the neighborhood's hot spots.

The Fodor's description does not really capture the nature of this lodging (in fact I wonder if the writer actually visited?). It has been my favorite lodging in Lima almost since it opened. The decor is modern, with interesting artwork. The rooms actually are a bit noisy due to the light well construction (both a bit of street noise and noise from adjacent rooms). The fact that the hotel puts out earplugs for guests gives you a clue. The rooms,
no matter the floor, do not have a view (windows open to the light well). Breakfast made to order is included in the rate, as is all day coffee and free wi-fi. There are also two computers for guest use. There is a secure gate and you are buzzed in and out. The hotel is located on a well-lit street in Barranco, with several galleries and restaurants just across the street. It is a short walk to the center of Barranco or to the Metropolitano rapid transit system which goes to the center of Lima. You can also take a taxi for $4+ or walk to Miraflores. By far the best thing about this hotel is the staff and the service. They love giving advice and helping with local reservations. They even got a couple into Chez Wong when I visited...it surprised all of us!
