Surrounded by flowers and maturing gardens, Apu Lodge commands a delightful view of the Ollantaytambo ruins from its private grassy perch and is well worth the five-minute meander up cobbled Inca streets from the center of town. Taking its name from the spirit of the mountains, the Lodge offers guests clean, bright, and artfully furnished rooms, complete with celestially comfortable beds. Besides her cheery disposition, owner Louise Norton also offers an endless supply
of tea and advice on touring the area. Breakfast commences early in the morning over a communal table and is a great spot to pick other people's brains on things to see and do.
