German transplant Ulrike Simic and company dish up food all day long, the perfect refueling stop during a day of market shopping. Breakfast gets underway, before the market does, at 7 AM. Stop by for the S/15 prix-fixe lunch, with a lot of vegetarian options on the menu, a real rarity in this part of Peru. Yummy brownies, muffins, cheesecake, and chocolate-chip cookies are the draw all day long between rounds of shopping.

Ulrike's Cafe is well run, has great coffee, good food and very clean bathrooms, right off the market in Pisac. I found it to be a welcomed refuge from the madness of Pisac's market. The desserts are especially nice. Try the strudel and don't miss the coffee - the best.
