Fodor's Review:

Spectacularly carved wooden doors, an intricately paved courtyard and Cathedral views will immediately impress you in this impeccably restored 16th-century building near the Plaza. Rooms congregate around an arcaded courtyard with grand old staircases and are furnished in full colonial style with tapestry bed covers and period details. Shell out a few extra soles to get a two-level suite, with balconies from which you can see the Cathedral, colonial paintings on the walls and wonderful carved wood throughout. Pros: Wonderful period details, views of the Cathedral from some rooms, good value suites. Cons: In the heart of the tourist action, standard rooms are a decided cut below the quality of the suites.
