Getting Here and Around

Sacsayhuamán sits a stone's throw from Cusco and is easily visited in a half-day organized tour (the tour will likely also visit Puka Pukara, Salapunco, and Tambomachay, and possibly other destinations). If your lungs and legs are up to it, the self-guided 40-minute ascent to Sacsayhuamán offers an eye-catching introduction to colonial Cusco. The walk starts from the Plaza de Armas and winds uphill along the pedestrian-only Resbalosa Street. Make your way past San Cristóbal Church, hang a left at the outstretched arms of the white statue of Christ, and you're almost there. Km 2, Hwy. to PisacNo phoneBoleto TurísticoDaily 7-6
