Machu Picchu Sanctuary Lodge

Fodor's Review:

If you can get a reservation, this hotel at the entrance to Machu Picchu puts you closest to the ruins, a position for which you admittedly pay dearly. Not only will you have the thrill of watching the sun rise over the crumbling stone walls, but you'll have the ruins to yourself after most of the tourists depart each afternoon. The lodge has been completely renovated by Orient Express, which has taken over the property. The restaurant has an excellent international menu that makes it worth a special trip.

  • Hotel Details: 29 rooms, 2 suites
  • In-hotel: restaurant, bar, laundry service. minibars.
  • Rate includes: 3 meals
  • Credit Cards: AE, DC, MC, V
