The front half of this hotel consists of a colonial building with rooms arranged around an attractive arcaded courtyard, originally the 17th-century home of the Marquis of Picoaga. Behind is a modern wing with a restaurant that overlooks the Plaza de Armas. The colonial building itself is attractive, and the rooms are undergoing a facelift at this writing. Opt for one of the older, quieter colonial rooms facing the courtyard. The Picoaga makes for a centrally located upscale option at a fraction of the price of Cusco's pricier lodgings.
