Mercado 4

Fodor's Review:

Mercado 4, on Avenida Pettirossi, is a crowded market that overflows into neighboring streets. Its stalls are laden with produce, hammocks, and cage after cage of clucking chickens. The tables are set up before dawn, so get an early start to avoid the stifling heat and suffocating crowds. It is open all day, every day, except Sunday afternoons.
