This beautifully restored colonial house is decorated with old mahogany furniture and antiques. All rooms have large private baths. Italian and international cuisine is on the dinner menu; after dinner you can relax and sip a glass of wine in front of the fireplace. Museums, shops, and restaurants are all within walking distance. I visited Ecuador in September, and stayed at the La Rabida. For the price you can't go wrong. The owner, and hostess Nora is as nice as they come. And her staff reflects her customer service comes first attitude. Beware of Brownie (pet rabbit)if he likes you, and you leave your door open he will soon be in your room...He liked me!
