Timing & Precautions

Remember that most museums close on Monday. Most churches keep limited opening hours; you'll have a better chance of seeing the interiors during the morning or late afternoon. Security has improved dramatically in the Old City, but unless you're lodging here, make sure to take a taxi back to your New City hotel. Crime is still a factor on dark center-city streets.
