Providencia

Tiny Providencia, a mere 7 km (5 mi) long, has rugged hills formed from volcanic rock. There's much less development than on San Andrés, which makes it a quiet, easygoing Caribbean retreat. On the west coast is Aguadulce, the island's largest town, where you can rent bicycles and motor scooters or join a boat tour of the surrounding islets. Smaller Santa Isabel, on the island's northern tip, is the governmental center and therefore attracts fewer visitors.
