Just a few blocks from Bogotá’s colorful colonial heart, this restored 19th-century manor is an island of calm in the bustle of the city center. Rooms, set around an open central courtyard with a vertical garden, are spacious, with comfortable beds and basic furnishings. The restoration lacks a little authenticity, losing some of the historic charm, but the location, reasonable pricing, and friendly staff outweigh any potential negatives. Breakfast is basic fruit and eggs, but it's well prepared and will fill your belly. There's an on-site gym as well as a small sauna, and a spa with treatments that use local fruits, cacao, or olive oil as a base.
