Fodor's Expert Review Hostería Alemana

Otto Uebel 450, Puyuhuapi, Aisén, 600000, Chile

The home of Ursula Flack, the last of the town's original German settlers, is a great choice for travelers. They have simple but charming rooms, two cabins, and a lovely flower garden surrounding the house. Nowadays, the hosteria is run by her daughter, Hildegard Hopperdietzel. If you hang out in the dining room, no doubt sipping tea and eating a healthy dose of kuchen (German cake), be sure to ask them about the local microbrewery run by Ursula's son, Helmut.
