Centro de Artesanía Local Review

Osorno's city government operates the Centro de Artesanía Local, a complex of 46 artisan vendors' stands built with steeply sloped roofs in the style of the Calle MacKenna houses. Woodwork, leather, and woolens abound. Prices are fixed but fair. It's open January and February, daily 9 am-10 pm, and March-December, daily 10-8.

    Centro de Artesanía Local Review

    This market was interesting, separate vendors selling a variety of merchandise, lots of T-shirts, in addition to wool and wood goods.

    There is a crafts store around the corner from the market that carries beautiful woven goods (ponchos, scarves, bed coverings, rugs and more.) The quality is excellent and the prices reasonable.

    I bought a woven wool neck scarf but wish I'd also bought one of the small rugs.
