Gran Hotel Vicente Costanera Review
The grandest of Puerto Montt's hotels underwent a much-needed face-lift in 2002-03, and, more than ever, it retains its Gstaad-by-the-sea glory. Its Bavarian-style facade resembles that of countless other Lake District lodgings, but the lobby's huge picture window overlooking the Seno de Reloncaví lets you know this place is something special. The modern guest rooms are comfy, with carpets and contemporary wood furniture—but do yourself a favor and spring for a standard room, rather than an economy one. The difference in price is tiny, but the difference in quality of the rooms is substantial.
